Butterflies!

We enjoyed watching 15 - 20 butterflies fluttering around in the zinnias earlier today. This video doesn't come close to doing it justice, but it's still cool!

And a few more pictures. I'm loving this little flower bed! I can't wait till next spring to have more!

Kari,

I found some info on these butterflies at:

http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=1664&chosen_state=22*Louisiana

Apparently they are of the 'Gulf Fritillary' variety and are attracted to lantana as adults. Caterpillars like passion fruit plants...

J

AH! Well...I guess that explains what's getting to the Maypop vine. I wonder if they like to eat Trumpet Trees too?
